2018 Educating Children of Color Summit!

Hey, everyone!

A week ago, I had the amazing opportunity to speak at the 2018 Educating Children of Color Summit! It was incredible!

There were so many inspiring people at the event! It was an honor to be able to speak with them and hear about their personal stories.

It was so much fun to be able to share my ideas with other high schoolers!

The speech itself stemmed from a question I and everyone in my age group was getting asked: "What are you going to be when you grow up?"

While writing the speech, I was in the process of figuring out my future and what kind of person I want to become.

And that's a really tough thing to figure out and, honestly, I don't think anyone ever finds a definite answer to that question.

So, this speech was written as a reminder to never stop dreaming and a reminder that no matter what, you can always change things for the better. Act on your awesome ideas!
